It usually happens around this time of the year. We’re super excited to make our New Years Goals and then just a few weeks later, all that motivation has vanished or greatly diminished!
Maybe you’re like me and have felt a severe lack of motivation for a good long while. I can’t decide if it’s because I try to take on too much at one time or if it’s because my foundation for moving forward isn’t solid.
Back in September, I got the bug to start going to the gym more regularly. I haven’t worked out consistently since my youngest was born. 5 kids has been a hard adjustment. I was so ready get into shape and even thought I was going for the right reasons. I wanted to lose weight, but also knew that weight loss is mostly based off good habits in the kitchen and moving my body. So I decided I would go to the gym 6 days each week, have a personal training session once a week (so I wouldn’t injure myself) and deal with the kitchen/food stuff later.
It worked… for a while. I was moving my body daily and feeling myself getting stronger. As much as I tried to talk myself into believing that the results on the scale didn’t matter, it really bothered me that the scale didn’t budge. I got pulled into the deep dark pit of believing my value/worth was based on a stupid number. That’s a whole other story to share some time.
I currently joke with myself that I’ll just wait for gym attendance to die off as people lose their motivation on their own goals, before I commit to going more than once or twice a week right now… 😂
Could it be that I just need to remember to Keep Moving Foward? Even if it’s at a snail’s pace, it’s still progress, right?
I can’t afford to NOT move my body. I realize that my tendency to carry my stress in my body is only gonna make things more challenging for me week after week of no stress release.
So, if you’re like me and can’t always make it to the gym (#5kids), then here’s another way to release some of that stress in your neck, shoulders, and back.
Motivate is a combination of mint and citrus essential oils. It’s ability to clear the mind and relax the body has made it easily one of my favorites to roll on my shoulders and neck when I wake up and again at exactly around 3:30pm.
It has a beautiful aroma, sorta like you’re walking through a citrus grove with a cup of peppermint tea in your hands as the sun filters through the trees and you are finally able to catch a deep breath.
So if you are feeling a little gloomy, maybe hopeless or discouraged about whatever is weighing on your mind, put a few drops in a diffuser or roll a few swipes on your neck and shoulders. Take a few deep breathes from your bottle and see for yourself if you feel a little more relaxed, focused and dare I say, hopeful?
I like the smell of the motivate! When I can’t seem to get things done I use that roller! – Heather
Ready for your own Motivation in a bottle?
5ml size is great for diffusing, 10ml roller is great for applying to the skin, as it is diluted for safe skin application.
Let me know how it helps you! I love hearing other’s success stories with my favorite oils!
I love motivate! I’ve completely changed my way of life. Way of eating and adding in workouts to help. I use this oil to keep me motivated and upbeat! It has helped me drop 12lbs! So I’m going to continue to use motivate to keep motivated to keep changing! 🙂 – Ashley
